Forbes helps holiday resorts prepare for the Big Staycation.

With the big staycation looking set to last, UK holiday parks and lodges have been investing heavily in their facilities this year. Forbes Professional has been inundated with enquiries from within the industry as holiday parks looking to bring their laundry in-house.

We recently worked with Heron’s Lake Retreat, a luxurious lodge park set in an area of outstanding natural beauty  in North Wales. They asked us to deliver a Complete Care rental solution that would enable them to bring their laundry operation on-site. John Dobbs, our National Account Manager, worked closely with the  resort to ensure that we provided the right solution for their specific requirements. After visiting the luxury resort for a Covid-secure site survey, John specified Miele PW6080XL washers, Miele gas dryers and a Miele rotary ironer. By having an on-site laundry facility, Heron’s Lodge will reclaim control of both the laundry cost and turn-around times. By choosing Miele’s PW6080XL commercial washing machines fabrics will be protected, and guests will be greeted with soft fluffy towels and immaculately pressed sheets; such important touch points in the guest journey.

Our equipment was installed by our gas registered engineers, who commissioned it for safe use. The 1.6 metre rotary ironed was manoeuvred and installed using our specialist lifting equipment, in accordance with our strict health and safety procedures. For the life of the contract, we will support Heron’s Lake Retreat with our multi- award winning service support, with no repair or replacement bills. John Dobbs will remain their dedicated contact for all ongoing account management or service requirements. As leasing is one hundred percent deductible against pre-tax profits, there are considerable savings to be made when compared to outright purchase.
