At Forbes, we’re passionate about supporting our local community - and that includes championing grassroots football. We were proud to be match sponsors for the Merstham FC vs Whyteleafe FC game last weekend, a fantastic local derby full of energy and great sportsmanship.
Some of our team - Janice Englefield, Wesley Spearing, Laura Barber, Geraldine Jagdeo, Jamie Jagdeo, and Laura Spearing - were lucky enough to attend as guests and brought family members along to enjoy the day. The team were treated to a huge amount of hospitality from everyone at Merstham FC, who made us feel incredibly welcome from start to finish.
Sadly, Merstham didn’t take the win this time, but it was still a brilliant match and a great showcase of the spirit and dedication that define grassroots football. Our very own Jamie Jagdeo had the honour of selecting and presenting the Player of the Match trophy to Billy Oram- a highlight of the afternoon!
